Working out at home

Working out at home can be very beneficial. You can wear clothes as per your comfort and you can follow your own schedule. If you think home is the best place for you to workout , the next thing to do is choosing the right equipment.
The most suitable equipment for a home workout is a ‘Home Gym’. ‘A 'Home Gym'  is a non -portable equipment that can be placed where you exercise and lift weights. Not just weight lifting, home gym also allows you to perform many other exercises at the one station. Thus you get a full body workout. These are also known as 'multi-exercise-gyms' -- workstations designed to fit into your spare room, your basement or your garage so that you can perform weight training in your home.
The most-popular,average multi-exercise-gyms usually include the following:
-- adjustable bench for reclining or sitting
-- numerous stacked weights with pin for various load combinations
-- pulldown bars ,basically for the lat pulldown back exercise and for some sets of biceps
-- press bars for triceps, pushing and pulling, for shoulders, arms and back
-- leg workout extension system for exercising legs and the thighs
-- leg curl system for working out the hamstrings at back of the thigh
-- and seated cable row system for your back and arms exercise.
There are many other options in setting up a home gym.The choices for weight training can be categorised into: Aerobic exercise equipment such as Joggers or treadmills, rowers and stationary bikes , Weight training equipments like dumbells , bench press , barbells etc.
Some of the the other equipments you can use are:
  • Stationary bikes
  • Stationary bikes are one of the most popularly used exercise equipments for exercising at home. They offer an effective, cardiovascular workout and are great for the obese or sedentary person just starting to exercise. They essentially use the muscles of your buttocks and your legs. Bikes come in a different variety of price ranges. Generally speaking a high caliber bike will cost $500 to $1000.
  • Rowing Machines
Rowing Machines are excellent if you want a single piece of equipment that provides a whole body workout. Rowing makes use of both the upper and your lower body for an effective aerobic exercise. An efficient and proper technique is to be maintained on a rowing exercise machine  to avoid back and spinal injuries.
  • Kettlebells
Kettlebells are cast iron hand weights that help you get back to basic training by developing functional, whole body fitness. Lifting and controlling a kettlebell engages multiple muscle groups at once. They are a great addition to any home gym.
  • Keeping free weights in your home gym isn't a feasible option for everyone. But it should be noted that free weights like dumbells and a  weight rack allow you do the most important exercises for strength – the barbell and weight based full squat. Multi-station gyms may be a good substitute for many people, but if you have the experience and space free weights are the best way to go.
  • Elliptical trainers offer a unique, non-impact exercise activity that almost anyone can do. The movement is very good for overall body workout. You can control the intensity by keeping the movement easy. It is the moist popular item in health clubs these days and you may want to try out several models before selecting the final one.

Conclusion:
It all depends on what type of workouts you want and whether it all fits in your budget in the end or not. It is not necessary that you need a fancy and expensive equipment. But rather you should stress on the quality of your workouts.· If you've got say $100 available, go for an excercise ball and a few sets of dumbbells. If you’ve got more money to spend, you can go for a home gym or a bigger piece of cardio equipment, like an elliptical trainer or a treadmill.

To say Apple's iPad 2 is an easy tablet to review is somewhat of an understatement. The device, a follow up to last year's wildly successful (and currently market-defining) iPad, is nearly identical when it comes to software, and though improved, closely related on the hardware side as well. With a 9.7-inch, 1024 x 768 display, the general size and shape of the device has remained the same, and though inside there's a new dual core A5 CPU, more memory, and a pair of new cameras, most of the iPad 2's changes are cosmetic. Still, the previous tablet soared far above most of its competitors when it came to the quality of both the hardware (if not its raw specs) and its software selection -- something Apple still stands head and shoulders over its adversaries on. So this new model, a thinner, sleeker, faster variant of the original may not be breaking lots of new ground, but it's already at the front of the pack. But is the iPad 2 worth an upgrade for those that took the plunge on the first generation? More importantly, does the device have what it takes to bring new owners into the fold? Those questions -- and more -- are all about to be answered in the full Engadget review, so read on!

Comparatively large and heavy. No 3G or 4G options. Front-facing camera isn't optimally angled. Honeycomb isn't yet a mature app platform.
  • Bottom Line
Acer's Honeycomb tablet, the Iconia Tab A500, has similar strengths and weaknesses to its direct competitors, but its $450 price is easier to swallow than some others.
ICONIA TAB has better camers with flash and has expandable memory options which iPAD 2 does not have.
Also it has an accelrometer . Has Android OS so user has access to many free apps in the Android market . It also has a Docking port which ipad does not have. Ultimately ,it is cheaper than ipad .
