Cool acoustic guitar

i went to a nearby music store On Stage in search of a new acoustic guitar yesterday......lots of brands were available there like yamaha, gibson..etc...but what caught my eye was the acoustic guitar by Fender. I always had the perception that they manufactured only electric guitars. Other thing interesting about it apart from being a Fender acoustic was that it had a built in electronic tuner ...so u dont have to fret over tuning ever again...the wood quality, the sound of it,the amazing look and biggest thing was it being a fender acoustic was simply awesome.....priced at around 10k i think it is one of the best acoustic guitars in the mid level segment. It comes under the range of Fender Malibu ...you can check more of it here. Go and check it out at a showroom near you!!!!!

Senator Barack Obama gives an insight to his musical side

Though people have used in a hell lot of different contexts but i truly believe that music has no boundaries nad binds us all.

Even the opposing politicians of the world's most powerful country United States of America agreed on one point .Both John Mc Cain and Barack Obama love Frank Sinatra.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine Sen. Barack Obama said:

"that, growing up, he listened to Elton John and Earth, Wind & Fire but that Stevie Wonder was his ultimate musical hero during the 70s. The Stones' track Gimme Shelter topped his favourite songs from the band. His selection also contained 30 songs from Dylan."

While Obama said he would trust anyone who admires and listens to Dylan, Stevie Wonder and the Rolling Stones and has has the music of jazz artists like Miles Davis and Charlie Parker and pop singers like Sheryl Crow, senator Mc Cain was not aware of this latest technology of portable players.

When in an interview in "Old Codger" magazine, John McCain was asked what music he had in his iPod. John responded:" What the hell is an iPod? I don't keep up with this newfangled technology, I'm still trying to get the hang of my 8-track player. I like to listen to that new fellow, Lawrence Welk, whenever i can."

Some tips for improving your voice quality

Here are some handy tips on how to improve your voice quality.......or to improve your singing experience
1.As far as possible do some salt water gargles before u sing

2. Warm up with somevoice modulation techniques before u start
one exercise is as follows:
start singing aaaaa.....
begin with lowest possible note and then go towards highest possible note /pitch.
try to do this in one deep breath .
this will also increase the scope of the pitch in which u can sing...it makes singing in higher pitch a cake walk.

3. Not many people know this but play flute....it will give u a good baritone voice .....and u will be surprised how much better your voice sounds afterwards . try to play the sideways flute though. the bigger in length and girth the beeter it is( no pun intended).

4. Drink tea :). I dont know the exact science behind it ....but i have seen n advised by most of the classical singers i have known to do so......while it keeps u in sprited mood ....it also relaxes you......people who are not regular drinkers of tea ..should avoid drinking it in the late evenings...as you might not be able to sleep well.

5.While singing with a guitar....instead of concentrating on guitar .....focus on the instrument with beats(such as drums or tabla) ,it gives u a sense of rythm...helps u in strumming ....and also makes singing very easy.
hope this helps for the time being
more to continue..............
