Guitar playing tutorial for the beginners....how to start playing guitar

Hello everyone

Foreword:

I have tried to learn guitar the harder way.. without any teacher...simply bcoz i did not have enough money to pay for a decent teacher or buy a tutorial kit.. obviously i faced many problems..but it did not bother me coz i wanted t learn.....i was always and still mesmerized by the sound of a guitar.... needless to say it gave me a wide vision of wat to try.. i"ll try to give you..a "how to approach".. Here I am putting all my experience so far..for amateurs.... so here it goes..

BUYING TIPS:
A good accoustic guitar,.. like Hobner,Signature or Givson will do.there are many korean guitars also available in the market these days for a low price....do check out those......go for a

jumbo in the first place itself.....although it is not meant for beginners but how often are you going to buy a guitar then again........when u"ll master the art of strumming the basic guitars

sound awful..for chords....

TUNNING IT

Best way is to use the electronic tuner or tuner software
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To learn the chords best and easiest way is to learn them from a chart and try rythms of your own
Best chart you will find is on www.chordfind.com.

I m not going to discuss much of the theory here.. u can get it easily and read many books.. they don't help u much initially. There r six strings.. E A D G B E starting from thickest to

thinnest.. each note has a sharp key.. except B and E.
I will upload scale formations soon
consider any scale.. there r 12 notes.. like for C scale.. C C# D D# E F F# G G # A A# B.. we have minors also associated with notes and combination of minors and sharps too.. we have

chords of sevenths.. too.. No need to go for suspended and augmented chords now..

EAsy steps to learn guitar quickly:

1> Start with simple chords..
try playing A B C D E F Am Em G.. Go on playing these chords repeatedly.. reducing the time gap between change of one chord to other which is known as shifting.beginners face biggest

problem here in shifting chords quickly.. exercise is for ur left hand..is try chromatic plucking of the strings and even use as a warm up exercise......it is just playing lead on different frets of

a single string and progressing from 1 to say 12th fret n then change to next string until you complete all the six strings......your fingers will burn like hell in the beginning....but you need to

press on and soon it will stop hurting.

2>for strumming pattern:
i believe every person possesses a natural rythm in himself ....so in the beginning strum to any beat u feel like to and practice on shifting to that rythm.........listen to songs that has congo

as an instrument.....it will really help u in catching the beat....which is important for learning guitar......ofcourse you do need to listen to guitar songs.....lol

3>as a ritual....u have to or need to enjoy whatever you are playing....it acts as a grreat motivator......and who knows u mite be the next Bryan adams in the making

4>it is more of a personal choice....most teachers begin with the tablature method or .lay emphasis on mastering the lead first by playing chords scale formations but if you are a self

learner then you should start with chords...as that will keep u interested

5>I will suggest u now to choose the easiest song.don't go for songs with sharp keys.. good one will be Papa Kehte hain from QSQT or O sanam by lucky ali.

u can get the chords at www.chordspot.blogspot.com

6>eventually as you master these chords.....try shifting on to barre chords..(the way F is played)
u canget the notations from www.chordfind.com..........try playing all the chords in barre...these sound way more better

7>Once u r familiar with barre chords.. its time for u to play.. # keys.. A# C# D# F# G# and minors Bm Cm Dm Fm Gm and combinations.. A#m C#m D#m F#m G#m.. (note its better to play B

and F chords always barre )

8> Now go for songs like..

Aadat : C#m...B....A

Hote California : Bm F# A E G D F# ( go to www.chordspot.blogspot.com for full song formation)

9> Now its time to go for power chords.. suspended chords.. augmented chords.. chord of sevenths.. use the chord chart.. to play these..

10> ..as by now you will find out that you have started to master the basic strumming.......try to enjoy as much as possible.........and try to play the leads also.......its this what differentiates a

good guitarist from a common

!!>as u have covered up the basics now try to pick new songs on your own a good way is to play the lead first and u"ll will know to apply the chords in the region where the lead sounds

perfect.

12> Just relax.............................

u mite differ in opinion on whole of this process.........its just my effort to help guys with meagre resources but a an endearing heart !!!!!!!!.
happy strumminggggg!!!!!!
