The times in the life of Michael Jackson

29 Aug , 1958 :

Born in Gary , Indiana , Michael was the second youngest of six brothers . He also had three sisters.


1960:



Jackson , 5 , begins his musical career. Father Joe Jackson , blues guitarist , forms a group around his sons called "Jackson 5ive". Michael joins as lead vocalist.



1969:

'I want you back debuts'
Jackson's single for Motown records becomes fastest selling record in the company's history.


1971:

Jackson 5ive debuts on animated TV series on ABC , runs till sept 1973.

1972:

1st single of his solo career ' Got to be there ' released. Reaches top 5 billboard charts.

1979:

Records " of the wall " with Quincy Jones as producer . The album has 4 no 1 s including "dont stop till u get enough" and went platinum selling million copies.

1982:

Thriller , largest selling album of all time
Approx 28 million copies sold in US and 100 million worldwide

1984 :

Burns his hair while filming of the Pepsi commercial that featured his song Billie Jean


1984:

Earns record breaking 12 nominations and wins 8

1985 :
Co writes ' We are the world ' with Lionel Ritchie , wins 3 Grammys

1987 :
releases Bad


1988 :
moves to 2600 acre land in Neverland

1991 :
Enters $1 billion contract with sony , most lucrative offer ever to a recording artist
Later Danerous debuts at no 1.


1993 :
a 13 yr old boy accuses of sexual abuse

1994:

Lisa Marie Presley confirms marriage to Michael


1994 :
Reaches out of court settlement with the accused

1995 :
History is released

1996 :

Performed in Mumbai in an event organised by Shiv Sena's Bal Thackeray

Marries Debbie Rowe , his former nurse.

1997 : Son Prince Michael is born

1998:

Daughter Paris is born

1999:
Rowe and Jackson divorce


2001:
Michael inducted into Hall of Fame


Invincible released- Jackson's first commercial and critical flop

2002:

Prince Michael II is born , mother unknown.
